Spotti Cat Studio : My artwork celebrates a lifetime of

Watching the sky,

Walking the woods,

And tending the garden.

Why the dots? Well, after some adventures and misadventures, along came some penguins........or at least a drawing I'd done of penguins. They found their way into a collage with a variety of papers I'd textured and painted. Pieced together like stained glass, they appeared to be gleefully running across an ice flow. Problem was, the black areas between the swaths of color seemed rather dead. So, I added some white dots to liven things up a bit. Suddenly, the piece reminded me of Aboriginal art. Of course, that meant a trip to the library to research Aboriginal art. Soon after, a friend sent me a gift of books on the topic and so began my fascination with dots.
